I'm having a bit of trouble researching stock LSD's. So tonight while attempting to warm up my M/T ET streets (26x11.5 on oem 17's) I wanted to get a lot of heat in them so i dumped the clutch into 2nd. I have 4.10's, 340wtq all motor and always do 2nd gear burnouts with ease. This is the 2nd time mounting these to my car. First at the track. When i dumped into 2nd I noticed the RPM's shot up easily, too easily for a 2nd gear burnout on ET streets. I almost thought my clutch slipped instead of wheelspin so i knew Something was up. I spun a bit off the line, more so then i remembered on the street. Then after a few passes i asked someone if both wheels were spinning, and to support my hunch - Nope ! one wheel peel while trying to warm them in 2nd !!! on the street with these tires in first gear i got a nice even 2 wheel spin, yet at the track in 2nd- only one. I'm a bit nervous since i applied some brake pressure and allowed only one to spin for a few seconds straight while the other was dead stopped. Anything thinking i damaged the LSD? also i mounted my street tires on and did a quick burnout in first and BOTH spun. Is this normal for sticky tires to do this? have i damaged the LSD allowing only one to spin? Thanks in advance !

The clutches are probably worn out already if you have consistent one tire fryer, just have it rebuilt with an extra clutch, shouldn't cost more than $300 with the labor included as that is what I did with mine and it only cost me $225 for everything, parts and labor

useful advice! I was thinking a rebuild would be necessary, Is using an extra clutch more effective then the carbon disks?

I used an extra clutch in mine and it works great! IMO I would put an extra clutch in instead of just doing the carbon disks. I do my burnouts in second with MT ET's on 15s and never have a problem lighting both tires up.
