I've either going to stay with my current tire size 255/35/20 front and 285/30/20 rear in a FALKEN 452 or go with TOYO TR1 same size in front and a 305/30/20 in the rear on my Shelby CS69. Anyone have any experiences with these tires/sizes? From searching around (google) they both seem to be great tires. Just can't make up my mind if I want to spend the extra $$$ on the TR1 with the wider rear!

Thanks!

I have T1R's on my Carrera, Corvette, 08 GT, and 07 Shelby. Not in that size though. They have amazing wet weather traction and give excellent feedback when pushed to there limits in the dry. They also stick pretty darn good at the drags. I had a 1.78 60' out of the 285/40/18's last weekend. Sorry, I can't give you any feedback on the Falken's.

I might just go with the FALKENS and save the extra dough for the Vortech...

I've got the 452's on my 18x9 bullets for daily driving and I like them alot. During warm weather they've got good traction and work well in the rain. I don't use them at the track though.

I found a great deal on a set of Hankook Ventus V12 evo for $450 (complete set). They are in my current sizing so no issues.

i had hte hankooks, great tire, especially in rain.

they were a bit soft and vague feeling at times but rode great and handled well. surprisingly, they did not get very loud towards the end of their lives (i wore the rear down to bald and i killed the fronts with camber)

the only reason why i am not running another set is that they do not make a tire wider than a 275 at a 27" height for an 18" wheel
