Yes and no. A lot of custom fabricated parts have been made and are still being made for it. As of now, working on a new and better brake system.

I used to have a 302 in a single cab ranger, it was ridiculous. No traction though, it was awesome til I found out slightly worn tires plus rain plus freeway on ramp and a down shift make Ranger look like a boat. That is awesome though

5.0 will fit in that 07 model. Just need a donor V8 Explorer. They had 240hp with the P heads and mock gt40 intake. Plenty of power to propel a Ranger!

I had a 87 Ranger with a 92 HO/ 5speed for years (96 Explorer 5.0 later on). Truck also had OEM Ranger "GT" ground effects (rare). Also had a Ford Motorsports/Racing 140mph speedometer and a a working tach in the factory instrument cluster.
I sold the truck 10+ years ago and it is still daily driven by the guy I sold it to.

Traction was decent unless you were trying to make it spin. Had a Traction lock from a 86 Mustang 7.5

Wet weather you had to be careful..

Would have never sold the truck if I wife and kids didn't come along. Plus the single cab was just too small!

Making a custom side exhaust kit and stainless brake lines right now and that's pretty much the last of it.

right on... I'd like to see the exhaust and hear it if you get time to snap a few shots or get some video.

how does this thing drive? is it hard to keep the tires on the ground? seems like a lot of power for a light truck.
