Where to find hardware?

Hey guys, I recently picked up a 4.6 that needs some bolts/hardware to attach a few things. Any good place to find this stuff? So far I have found to need the following:


3 bolts for belt tensioner
4 bolts for top alternator bracket
All of the intake manifold bolts
Bolts for the coolant crossover


All I can figure out right now, or anyone know the sizes to these? Can't seem to find online.

If you look through these procedures they mention the bolt sizes. It's not usually mentioned until you get to the assembly part.

As Bruce said use the manual to get the bolt sizes and than I am off to Ace , if it is something special Tasca is where I order online from

I too am in need of intake manifold bolts, but that manual you posted just says the ford part number and how many you need. Where exactly am I getting the sizes from?

I've got a shop manual here, it has the ford part numbers and a description of the bolt if you want to go somewhere else.

I could put together a intake manifold bolt kit...I work for fastenal
If someone sent me sizes and qtys I could put it together tomorrow and ship em out

It will require some effort on your part. Sometimes it's listed in another area. They have a lot of references to other sections of the manual.

Instead of chasing them all you can just put the part number into google and see what comes up. M6x62.5 is what came up for me. The stud would be a different part though.

Note to everyone I can get nearly everything...studs bolts nuts etc

Sorry to be hijacking your thread, but here is a spreadsheet with 2 hours worth of searching. If anyone can find sizes for the part numbers listed, that would be awesome. Alternator bolts don't even have a part number listed

Thanks for the reply guys, these bolts are super expensive from Ford as I expected. GTGHOST, I am about to PM you.

My question is for the intake manifold bolts it shows 2 different bolts on the attached picture. Looks like the front 2 are different than the rest of them?

That explains it, so technically I dont need coolant crossover specific bolts?

2 bolts for coolant crossover - it will share 2 of the intake bolts

For a part like the one in the link, what the heck is the difference that makes one over twice as expensive?

GTGHOST- do you have studs like the ford ones that have heads so you can torque them in? I was looking on the fastenal website and it didn't look like you did
