VEry nice! Congrats!

What Saleen are you running; ie pulley? ported? any extra/fabbed cooling?

Thanks.

Its just a normal Saleen blower with a 2.75 upper and 10% lower. No porting, stock T/B. Built motor from JDM, Livernois heads.

It has to be put on the dyno again cause from the whole 2nd and 3rd gear the A/F was 10.0 - 10.6.

You don't think you would pick up any hp / mph by going with a larger throttle body?

Absolutely, but I heard the gains from the GT 500 TB arent really good. I was going to wait to see what I needed to do to put a mono blade on. What do you think Paul? Should I just do the GT 500 tb?

Well, it depends on the Saleen set up---as my experience has only been with the whipple. Not sure of the limitations of the Saleen s/c. But I did pick up +23rwhp when I switched from the stock TB to the BBK throttle body. And--how does the BBK TB compare to the GT500 TB?

I guess if you decide to keep the Saleen s/c, you might as well wait for the mono blade set up and do it only once. But when I went to the mono blade (black diamond 1600cfm), I changed the CAI and the manifold to the back of the blower---as the setup will only flow as much as the weakest link.

How are those BBK TBs? I havent heard anything good about them. Im interested on putting a different TB on, but only want to do it once.

I didn't have a problem with mine---but you have to clock the spring correctly. If you don't you will have nothing but problems.

Montreal Qc,
Congrats Paul,
I believe that there are gains to be had at your power level with the GT500 TB.
Or you can do what I'm doing. Just open her up and hog her out.

Congratulations man! Didn't anyone tell you those tiny underpowered Saleens aren't supposed to run that fast?

That's a pretty good size increase in there, Peter. I did that on the old Bullitt and SVO intakes for the two valves. Worked pretty well on them. I'd bet you will pick up quite a bit of airflow with that work.

Another option for anyone wanting a better throttle body is the CNC version from TechCo.
