Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be getting much track time until later this year. Life in general is just too crazy these days, and there is no end in site until the fall.

Nice work getting back in the saddle, Paul! If it is any consolation........I've been towing race car trailers for 25 years and I STILL don't like being beside a semi truck.

I want to, but depending on the weather. If a couple days before the race, its forecasted to be like 110 degrees or something like that--I won't go. But if it is decent then yes I will go.

I am like a kid who just got burned with fire. I want to avoid being next to semi's whenever possible.

Yea, I'm just going to drive it on the street for a while, and then I'll be totally amped up for the fall/winter racing weather. But, we might be able to sneak in a couple Friday night T&T sessions during the summer... we'll just have to see how it goes. Until I change trannys, I'm kinda stuck in the high 6's anyway.

Getting better--ran a 6.49 @ 106 MPH last night at Irwindale.

Two other passes in the low 6.60s that were "chatter" off of the line. Hard to explain, but I will be putting up the in car video in a bit. I guess its like tire shack, like its a traction, then no traction, then traction, then no traction, and really quick, like it does that a few times a second.

Anyway, even during those runs I was still in the low 6.60s, so FAMOSO is looking good tonight. CAR #31 below:

Congrats Paul! When that (chatter) happened to me - it was 100% a case of not enough air pressure in the tires. Upped the air pressure, and tire shake solved...

congratulations Paul.. It all seems so good now. It sure is nice watching your "reports" and hear about your re-learning curve. I have not competatively raced 1/4 mile since 1984. BUT I rememeber how calm I was on the track and how nervous I was on the street with the car.
I wish you well.

We were kind of disappointed as the track was not prepped as well as it has been in the past. We were having problems with our 60' times all night, but still had alot of fun. Weather was great which translated to good MPH in our runs, however.
