The bright side of a gloomy day

Some bad news yesterday had me feeling a bit bummed about things, but a phone call from forum member Laura (07CaliGTStang) about doing some car stuff took my mind off things. She wanted to run through changing her oil on her own, so I figured it would get me out of my temporary digs and do something constructive. Laura is a local member of our car club, and has been doing a considerable amount of wrenching on her own recently, but oddly enough never changed oil. So I gave her a list of supplies and met her over at her house. Thank god for GPS, it's out there.

The oil change went smoothly, and after sitting a bit with some cold drinks, we figured what the heck, let's wash the cars. We did the interiors, exteriors and engine bays. Laura's engine had never been done, but after two hours of scrubbing by hand, and some detail spray, it ended up looking factory new. Talk about a long day, but a great one. Thanks Laura!

She started goofing around and I took a few more shots. When I said I was posting our pics online, she fought me tooth and nail on posting these two but finally gave in (she is really beautiful and soft spoken in person), but made me delete the close ups. Laura, thanks for bringing this bummed out guy out of a funk, if only for the day!

Thanks! I am using the FRPP K springs.....lowers 1.5" all around.
