Default A NEW 9 Second S197 PART 2

Well, Ken3030 has finally put his 4000lb car into the 9s.

Here is a vid I put together of the car which was at a cool private event at FAMOSO.

I went to the TNT in which we raced from 8pm to 12am. THEN--the private track rental started and went to almost 4AM. I have never heard of a track doing this, but it was cool. Took advantage of some great DA (for us West Coasters) of 1328 DA.

The car went 9.95, 9.92, 9.88, and 9.81! Best MPH was 140.47.

Yeah I have been debating going for it and getting some weight out of this pig (4030lbs with me in it) It also needs a fuel system and some bigger injectors. Adam had to turn the boost back down and lower the timing to keep it on the safe side. I also need the full cage thing as well. Decisions decisions.

Not until at least November. Hopefully by then, we'll be all settled in the new house and all the BS will be behind us, and we'll have some time to come out and play again! I can't wait!

BTW Ken... your car is a frikkin beast now! Adam thinks mine should be similar to yours, so maybe I'll get a 9-sec slip someday. But I'm not going to cage it (yet), so I'd be happy with consistent 6.40s in the 1/8.

What were the split times on those runs in the video?

His best split was in fact a 6.28 @ 110 mph.

Both you guys need to make sure your cars are running for the upcoming Ford vs Dodge (read mustang vs Challenger/Charger/SRT8 anything) shootout at Famoso.
