2005 Mustang Cabin Filter Replacement
(Also applies to other vehicles as most are similar)
Ok I decided to replace my Cabin Filter.
Here it is:
Open Hood and remove two really cheap plastic screws (they are actually clips) that hold down the plastic cowl section on the passenger side.
No need to remove the cowl or wiper just lift the cowl section a bit.
Here you can see the filter in place

Just tip the filter top forward and unlock and remove.
Here you see the filter removed.

These are the Old and New Filters.

Filter is in a plastic frame Here shown with removed and new filter installed.
The thing was Filthy with only 8000 mi.
Just replace and re-install.
Took about 10 minutes.
Cost of filter was $20 from Ford.
Too Easy, and now you know.

Sweet.. I was thinking of doing this since I know mine is probably nasty..

When I did the writeup there were none. Fram did have a P/N but it wasn't available at the time.

A little heads up for anyone with a CDC style hood strut - unless you remove the fender bracket for the strut on that side it is a real PITA to get the cover off and on. I did it without removing the bracket and I won't try that again.

Thanks for the write up, because I didn't know I had one either!

I was kidding and implying that anyone that would want a K&N cabin filter should shoot themselves in the head.
