All the linkage still intact and connected to the spool on the transmission? You know you have the remote mounting beam and the short linkage section connecting to the spool.
I have a set of Nitto NT05R 18's in 295's which have excellent street manners for cornering, traction and all around. I'm sure they suck in the rain though. I can do low 11's all day with these 18's too. I'm sure they are only good for 5-10k miles too.
Try the oil on the o-ring. The A/F gauge will be all over the place just cruising or idling, but at full throttle it should square up after you've held the pedal down for a few seconds and begin revving. If yours is at 13.8 at peak rpm's that's way lean or maybe the sensor isn't in a optimum...
Thanks guys, I did slip the clutch 2 out of the 3 runs, but it's true I could have slipped it to a higher degree by allowing it to get rolling a little more. That definitely takes practice to nail down. I only hit the track maybe once a year. If I go back with these tires I'll concentrate more...
That's what I knew I would hear. The truth! I would never trade the NT05R's where the street is concerned though...they really are an impressive street tire because they look right, feel great and hook well considering the power. They just are not going to hang on a 4000 rpm launch. I'll need to...
Care to elaborate? I mean, I'm not about to launch at idle speed. I want to let it rip and it just seems like I'm expecting too much from 18'' tires with 597 rwhp.
The rear suspension has been lowered 1'', J&M lowers, Steeda relocation brackets, J&M adjustable upper, adjustable panhard. I've got the lowers angled slightly down from front to rear. Stock shocks.
I wasn't at the JPC track rental Saturday because We had a party at the house for a family...
Saturday I took my '05 to Cecil County for the first time on the Stroker Motor. 3.55 gears and Nitto NT05R 285/40/R18 out back. 597 rwhp 540 torque on JPC's dyno on 93 octane. I did 3 runs, first with 15 psi on the radials and a 4000 rpm launch hitting it pretty hard just to break the ice and go...
