You just said a 265 was too big for an 8" wheel but then you run a 325 on a 10" that's an even bigger size difference, 265 in a M&T drag radial is fine plenty of people run them with great success

I havent looked under the hood but I imagine you could actually remove the vents and paint them if you wanted to. I know that isnt what this thread started off as but seen you said something about painting them.
This just make sure to post a vid up on here after you get done kicking it off. LOL. I agree with the above it should just be the screw in the fender then the couple on top. Do it in the grass if you can so you dont scratch it up if you are doing by yourself or over a thick blanket
