Hi, While looking for replacement keys (as I only have a single one), I noticed my key does not have a transponder thingy. In fact, its just the raw cut key, no plastic housing at all. So... why does my car start? From all I have read, this should be impossible? I doubt the thing was flashed...

Found the answer myself. The fact if side air bags came with the car from factory is coded in the VIN. If the 4th place is an H, it came with side airbags. Otherwise, not.
