A pretty sure fire way to ease your worries of a blown head gasket is to have a "leakdown test" performed.
But from what your describing it doesn't sound like a blown head gasket.
Best of luck in your quest :)
Thanks for replying and sorry for delayed response.
Decided not to get the 7000 series as I can get under my truck just as she sits.
I finally ordered my BL5000EXT (yesterday) as they just now have a sale going on.
I picked mine up for $1195. Shipped
So, for any of you guys wanting one the sale...
Yeah, exactly what I was thinking on the wood.
Darn shame Costco doesn't sell the 7000 series (only the 5000slx). They have the best pricing.
Since your using the supplied rubber blocks are your pinch welds un-damaged from them?
Thanks again. :)
I have about 4" underneath near the front pinch weld area. Its sitting low on Coilovers.
Really hoping/thinking about the 7000 series since it can lift my F-150 as well.
Alright. Thanks for chiming in.

Did you mount the pins where the rubber adjusters are?
Can you provide any pics from the underside of the...

Thanks, for the replies.
I belive its the Steeda that has the aluminum reinforced latch area if I am correct?
Any chance of some pictures of the undersides of your fellas hoods?
Thanks :)
Although my 06 GT is like new with 18,447 miles I noticed today I have the typical corrosion (very small amount) on the underside front lip of the hood. It actually caused a very small piece of paint to come off the lip. So, rather then refinishing the hood I thought I would go with either a 2"...
