A little sway on the big end but it's not too bad. I was actually pretty nervous about the high end sway that happens when mixing radial fronts with bias ply rears but it's very slight and happens so quickly I didn't even think about it until the pass was over.
I think so too. I did encounter wheel spin on a few passes but my launches were far from smooth. I was thinking a little less pressure and a little more practice.
Made it to the dragstrip last Wednesday and ran my car for the first time with the TVS. Also should mention it was my first time on a bias ply slick! Got 5 runs in:
11.7@120
13.1@88 missed a gear
11.4@121 best run
11.5@126
11.5@124
Overall I'm pretty happy with the times for my first time out...
I was looking at these RPM Roll bars. They're pricey but they come painted, welded and 100% bolt in. This will probably be the route I go when the time comes. http://rpmrollbar.com/
Awesome. Thanks guys. I was pretty sure they'd fit when I ordered them but when my parts guy rolled them out to me and I was kinda second guessing cause they look BIG. When the wheels come and I trial fit them I'll update this thread for reference sake.
So I've already ordered these for my 17x4.5 Race Stars and just wanted to double check and see if any one was having any fitment issues with these on a lowered car? I know it's a little too late to ask.
The tech might have just been lazy calibrating the rear heads for the alignment machine knowing there's no adjustment. Which would give screwy numbers.
Thanks for your input Dave, you know I value it. The Civic is surprisingly mechanically solid considering the mileage. I've been daily driving it since I picked it up intentionally beating it pretty hard to see what'll break. So far so good. It was in a pretty major front end hit at some point...
I was pretty close to buying a Miata actually but that would put me at 3 cars and I'm not sure I'm up to that when I have a solid track rat sitting here as it is.
First off I know this isn't tech but I figured I'd get better opinions on my situation in this sub-forum.
My longish story made kind of short: I started doing HPDE in 2008 and I was hooked. I had a Mazdaspeed3 that saw all but two of the road courses NASA Midwest goes to. In 2010 I bought my...
