Man, its just me but I would drain it back to showing as full on the dip stick. But that's just my OCD talking. I don't know if an .5 quart overfill would hurt anything...like crank slap causing foaming etc... I wouldn't think so though.

If I remember correctly, it was showing almost full at 7 quarts. I started it up and then let it sit. That's how I got the other quart in....barely. I'm still showing right at the top of the dip stick, but I have only put 1000 miles on the car this summer. I would say I have 7.8 quarts in...
