they look like shelby wheels, cs56's, but this is the first time I've liked those wheels on a car, so maybe they are just similar? Looks killer.

Maybe a dumb question... but is there a list of intercooler pumps that interchange with the whipple pump or do I need to buy a new one thru whipple directly? Mine seems to be making more noise than usual, and figured I better replace it before it dies...

On the vintage fays units, the driver side is not a stand alone clamp, but rather a modified shock mount that uses the U-bolts that holds the axle to the leafs as the clamp... do you think I'd have the same issue with only one side using the axle tube clamp? I seriously doubt I'll ever...

is the weight that excessive on the fays? I'm not building an all out track car, but do plan to use it more on the track than the street, so weight is a consideration. unfortunately, there just aren't a lot of good options for my application.

If you have a heat exchanger, then you have an intercooler under the blower. Think about it, what else would you be keeping cool with a heat exchanger???? Also, I was told by whipple the 140 prefix is GEN 2. But you can email them with that number to confirm, they are good people.

I put mine on a Dyno to be safe, BUT I had spoke to frpp and whipple and both said going from a 3.5 to a 3.25 would not need a diff tune if using their tune. Considering some kits came with the 3.125, I would guess that pulley is safe with the tune as well.

You are forgetting the cost of the tensioner in there too though, thumprrrr's aren't exactly cheap! roughly $400 shipped for that if i remember right.... although I think I found a discount code to use too... and a 8 rib hd belt was about $40 or so I bet... It just all adds up!

One last push for 10 rib.... how much boost are you planning on running? You will end up needing a crank overdrive pulley, a smaller blower pulley, all new 8 rib pulleys on the accessories, 8 rib idlers, another new 8 rib belt... and end up spending about what the 10 rib setup costs...

It sounds like you'll be money ahead to just get the 10 rib drive system with those goals... I wish I had!
