Well, if you can't track it down, you could always pull the console off, and take it for a test drive... see if you can pinpoint the rattle better with the console removed. Not a big job to pull the console off these cars.

Is it working properly? As in, is there any free play in the travel of the handle when you first pull it up?

Are you sure the noise is not originating from the shifter? I have a Hurst Billet shifter, and it rattles like a bitch at times.

Buy another unit from ebay. The dealer will rape you if you purchase one from them. I would however suggest an aftermarket head unit. You can get some really nice units for what a new Shaker 500 head unit will cost you.

A few possibilities if you find that it's not a catalytic converter: -reload your tune/change tunes (I'm assuming you are running an aftermarket tune here) -change where you buy your gas -change your fuel filter -clean your air filter (replace it if it's oem) -your maf has gone bad

Thanks Surf. :) Not much more modding is going to happen until it's paid off in 2012. I already have the prerequisite CAI, tuner, 4.10's, Hurst, LCA's, etc. Any other mods I want are going to be expensive. lol
