The idle raises? By how much? When my engine is cold the engine will raise idle a little more than 1,000rpm to raise the oil temp.

+1. The older version of the TPS sensor was plastic on the inside and would get eaten out. The newer ones are metal. When my TPS sensor went out it would not idle, and if it would it would only be fore a second.

What are your goals? IMHO, find yourself a nice set of NSR cams (~$700) get an email tune and run that motor to the ground. No sense in tearing into the engine just yet because it sounds like this is your DD. NSR cams arn't that expensive to get installed b/c they don't require a spring change...

Dude, I think what other people have tried to tell you is that your clutch was never properly broken in and because of that fact, you have a burnt clutch after only 10k miles.
