cracked kellogg crank

Well I sent my crank off to performance crankshaft to be looked over and prepped by adney who is considered one of the top crankshaft guys in the country. He calls me today and says my crank has a small crack on the #1 throw.... said he magnafluxed it 3 times to be sure. I find it hard to doubt a guy with his credentials but come on. A cracked kellogg?

I called him back and it's on the front radius of the #1 throw. Said he would not run this crank especially since I told him I was looking for 1200+. fuck me guess I'm looking for a new crank.

At 1200+ I would be looking at billet cranks and not a normal forged one. At that power level my engine builder has to replace his good billet cranks in his dragster every few years.

Yea he recommended me get in touch with winberg and get a billet piece. Time to save some coin I guess. Was about to send my heads to foxlake but that will have to wait lol
