Key in tumbler, sometimes no door chime (08 Bullitt, 8100 miles)

Hey folks,

The door chime on my 08 Bullitt (8100 miles) recently started working only periodically.

Key in tumbler, ignition completely off, door open: sometimes the chime works as expected, other times it doesn't work at all *unless* I press the key into the tumbler, but when I release pressure, the chime stops again. The dome lights are working as expected.

Have you scanned the car with a good scanner? Sometimes trouble codes can be stored that are BCM related.

That I have not done, but that's a good thought. I'll try that to start and see what I get. Thanks!
