SFI Spec 4.1 Transmission Shield

NHRA rules require an SFI Spec 4.1 Transmission Shield for auto trans cars running 10.99 or below (6.99 in the 1/8). Is anyone using an SFI tranny shield? If so, where did you get it and how much?

Don, I think summit sells them. I remember that I saw them on their catalog.

there are some companies that make trans blankets. we used to use these before the shields were accepted by NHRA.
as for a shield i would order one for a large trans like a TH400/350 or C6 and make the rest of the brackets to mount it.

Art Carr has a shield for the AODE/4R70W that can be adapted to the 5R55S transmission. Pretty easy deal too.
