My Autometer and Brenspeed's Dynojet wideband were right on each other when I dynoed there last. Also, Any tailpipe sniffer will be much leaner than an O2 sensor right near the header collector or manifold.

Huh? Do you mean leaner? Rich a/f wont blow a motor, maybe wash fuel on cylinder walls a little. Lean will blow a motor because it causes pre-detonation of the fuel mixture. I dont think you can guess what the a/f ratio is and assuming it is going to be way rich (or lean) would be a mistake...

The 03-04 Cobra and the Lightning pump are both the same Bosch pump. The Johnson pump supplied by Kenne Bell flows slightly less.

Sounds like a bad O2 wideband sensor. My Autometer was doing same exact thing and I replaced the sensor with a new Bosch sensor. Now all better!
