    2012 5.0 Intake Fumes/Smoke?

    I had quite a bit of oil in my intake, swapped to the GT500 PCV EV279, cleaned my manifold and re logged on my new tune. All of my knock was gone after that.

    i had my TOB replaced in my 03 cobra under a TSB and it was a full bolt on cobra. i doubt they will mess with you about it.

    Are CAI's really beneficial for low mod 5.0's?

    im worried about an off road mid pipe because my 03 GT ran pig rich without the cats. (then again we pounded the cats out and didnt retune dumb 20 year old then lol) so im not sure what kind of gains can be had with an o/r X vice sticking with the stock cats on the car. my 03 cobra had a catted...

    im in the same boat as you. im seriously leaning towards the drop in filter/tune. there was an article that was posted in the thread talking about the brenspeed test that said they only gained 2hp over the stock CAI w/ K&N with the mods you listed. seems like a waste of 300 bucks just for 2hp...

    and thats why if i get a CAI/tune prior to my TVS im going with AM. speaks volumes to me that they are willing to warranty it if they have a failure with their tune in the car.

    I dont think running the race tune would have anything to do with it. i drove my 03 cobra on the race tune as a DD. hell i drove the car from SC to TX. but then again it was a different motor than our 5.0s.

    another question is are these limited to 2011 cars or has a 12 gone up yet? it would be nice to know if the cars that let go are from similar build dates.
