Car Jerks Hard Before it Hits Boost/Power

I don’t think that’s going to be a tune issue then. I’d probably start looking for misfires. Coils, plugs, injectors, and so on

Car Jerks Hard Before it Hits Boost/Power

Did the car ever run correctly? Is this a new development or has it done this since the blower was initially installed?

    Engine rebalance

Replacing rings and bearings would not warrant a rebalance. When you tear down, I would check everything and if it looks good, reuse it. Why are you tearing down a fresh engine?

    Guide for Replacing Fuel Injectors

Definitely not $500 worth of work. You may have to remove the throttle body, but that’s a case by case basis, just depends on clearance.

    Guide for Replacing Fuel Injectors

Cranking with the pump unplugged only relieves fuel pressure so it doesn’t spray everywhere. The rail will still have fuel in it. It’s a pretty straight forward process. Unplug all the injectors, remove the intake cover if you have it, then disconnect the fuel line. That will leave some fuel...

    Drag Racing Gears

I certainly don’t, I started with 4.10 gears. The car went faster with 3.31 gears.

    Drag Racing Gears

That’s a lot different. The auto 6 & 10 speed cars don’t really like as much gear because of how low first gear is.

    Drag Racing Gears

Did you have 4.10 with an auto car?

    Drag Racing Gears

My 98 is coyote swapped and has a 6r80. I just built the rear end and went from 4.10 down to 3.31 I lost no ET and picked up mph in the quarter. The 60’ got a just a touch softer. I would not bother with gears.

Suspension seems to have no travel when hitting potholes or bumps

I like that carrier bearing. Why would you do this over a one piece driveshaft?

Suspension seems to have no travel when hitting potholes or bumps

Did you guys just change the bushing or did you change the upper arm as well? This is the last piece of suspension that I need to change on my 07. Been chasing bumping and banging ever since I got the car, it’s better now, but still kind of there.

STEEDA HEAVY DUTY CAMBER /CASTER PLATES TROUBLES

I just swapped from gt500 upper mounts to maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates. They installed perfectly and work really well, but they are extremely loud over rough roads. I’m seriously thinking about going back to gt500 mounts because they are that loud. It’s a real kick in the balls to...

Lost all clutch pressure with new clutch

I haven’t seen any videos on the process, but this thread has a lot of good info in it. You’ll obviously have to pull the trans back down, and get a new slave cylinder. Once you have that, you can take your measurements. https://www.s197forum.com/threads/throwout-bearing-shim.129167/

removed sway bar causing air turbulance

Thank you for that. The fella a couple posts up linked your page already, I didn’t know it was yours though, so thank you. I’m guessing mine got ripped off at some point because it is not there. I’ll have to do something.

    DForce 18x10's w/ Nitto NT01 - $800

Do you have pictures of these on the car? How do they fit and do they require any modification to the car? And what year car did you have them on?

So,what the hell is this thing?

Very possible it was for a pedal commander. Could have been for a boost a pump also.

2011 5.0 with Gen 2 motor. What cams?

Don’t forget you will need new timing chains and crank sprocket. The gen 2 components are completely different. Also, the gen 1 cams time different than the gen 2, so keep that in mind when you are setting timing. As for what cams, it’s kind of hard to beat the stock cams. Mine made 436rwhp...

    changing injectors

The stock coyote injectors are 34lbs and work very well. You’ll gain nothing by changing them. Don’t swap injectors until power levels require it.

    Control Arms

I just did my arms last week. I torqued the rear bolts, and left the front bolts loose. Then assembled everything and put the front end on ramps. Then torqued the front bolt.

    Good morning

Mt82 builds? Do you do it for a company or just by yourself? I prefer to build automatics myself. I’ve done a few standards but never an mt82

    motor location gauges autometer

Zoom in right next to the motor mount. The coolant sensor goes in the block. You have to buy an adapter that fits the block. Oil pressure is next to it, but I’m the oil filter adapter housing. If you need to keep the stock gauge, you’ll have to make a Tee from pipe fittings so both can get...
