Just seeing who is running a 4r70w with a manual valve body and trans brake. Looking for companies you bought from and why.

Likes, Dislikes, ect....

Not looking for "cheapest one so I bought it" or "you should do this". Just want real good answers by people who ACTUALLY are running this transmission in their S197.

I am leaning towards a Freddy Brown 4r70w and want to get reviews on theirs or others.

Thanks

Steve, I used a PA in my 08. Had TB and manual VB. It was a great track car and drove the streets pretty good! Nocked .8 off my et by just swapping the tranny. I also used the scs cheetah shifter, the only one to use in my opinion! Looks like it belongs in there!

Oh, I like the time I picked up in the 1/4 but it did take some functionality out of it like no cruise and a lot more noise in the cabin.

I had a friend build mine and I am using a auto shifted VB with a baumann controller. 3800 pi stall. I still have cruse and it feels like it was there stock. I used the B&M hammer shifter with a stock 5 speed boot.

That was the other one I was looking at as well. Really good reviews on it.

FB Performance built with Manual Valve Body and Transbrake.

The reason I bought was due to price, timing, and the customer service is second to none.

I also have a Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter.

Freddy brown's and PA's have been proven time and time again with nothing but success.

With the people running them, how are they on the street? Does anyone have any time slips of the old set up and 4r70w?

Bret- you have any pics with it finished? Like all the interior parts back in the car? Call me when you can.
