AM only "house" brand, overpriced junk.
Id love a set of gen5 taillights, but there is only one choice. Raxiom, no thanks.

They have them on sale for $137.99 plus a $30 mail in rebate was why I was thinking about getting them but never had any raxiom products. So want other's opinions who has or had these so they can tell there experience with them.

3F12019E-5CED-460D-8FC0-7141838F1BA3.jpeg I’ve had them on my 05 for three summers now. Love them and never had a problem with them. They are not junk. They are wired so that they operate as DRLs.

Hi Gray2014gt,

I had the Raxioms for many years on my 05GT without any issues. I recently went back to the retro look, but that was just a style choice.

How much does the smoked lenses affect light output? Too me the fogs are brighter than factory HID low beams.

Did you connect the Halo wires to side markers? If so, what color the wiring was on side markers and how you matched the colors of Raxiom halo wire to side marker wires? Mine is 2011 GT

Raxiom is hit or miss. I haven't had issues with my taillights except now the finish is a bit degraded. But it is to be expected living in the high desert.

It’s been 6 years, so my old brain is a little fuzzy on details. IIRC, I used a “add a fuse” adapter in the SJB that turns on and off with the key. This operates a relay mounted in front of the fuse box under the hood. The relay gets power for the halos directly off the battery. This way, the halos come on as soon as I turn the key.
If you want the halos to come on with the markers, use a tester to find positive wire going to either side marker. Always use a relay when adding a new device and tie it in directly to the battery. This way you won’t accidentally overload an existing circuit. The power needed to activate a relay is very small, so that is not a concern.
I have had Raxiom halos and taillights for over six years now with no problems.

Appreciate the response. I did find today by testing via multimeter- so Black / yellow is Ground. And Violet/ Green is Positive. This is 2011 GT model, not sure on other years

If you could explain how to tap into the SJB that would be great, I have a Canadian model and want my headlight halos to turn on with engine like the DRLs on the low beams (I would love to deactivate on the low beams but I don't see how... I'll try using led bulbs instead of halogen, they might not turn on hopefully when in DRL mode because of lower voltage). I'll use a relay but need to find a power source operated by the engine on, I don't like the parking lights option. Thanks!!

The auto parts store sell an “add a circuit “ fuse. It allows for two fuses in one location. You plug this into SJB and use this to activate a relay. There is an oval rubber plug directly under battery where you can run wire through fire wall. You can get the main power for the lights directly from the battery. Be sure to put fuse between battery and lights. If you can wait until tomorrow, I’ll send a photo of the SJB.

Here is the location in the SJB I got key on-power on power from. It is the yellow wire. Any connection you make, I suggest using heat shrink tubing with the glue on inside. Especially, if it is under the hood exposed to water. Also, I suggest you install a waterproof connector inline with the lights so you can remove the front bumper easily if you have to. Good luck.

Thank you so much, the SJB is located inside the car? I though it was under the hood! I'll try to find that kind of connector and do similar setup, I always use heatshrink tubing and weatherproof connectors like you, if you do something, better do it right or else don't do it!

The SJB is located behind the kick panel on the passenger side foot well. You have to remove a small panel first. Just pull it towards the driver's side and it should pop out with a bit of tugging.

I'm guessing a standard 5 pins 12v 30/40A relay is what I need, also about the fuse between the battery and the lights, 10A/15A is good since these are led halos and should not draw lots of current, right?
