Front tires are about done. I have been running the BFG KDW II in the front, but might be looking to change things up. I am currently running NT05s in the rear, any one run them up front? Any other good tire recommendation? Those BFGs are so expensive in a 255/35/20.

I have a friend who owns a performance shop that runs them up front and he says they work well for the road...

Just match the fronts with the rears and go with the NT05s.

That's what I am wondering, I am sure the NT05s will handle great up front, but I got alot of mileage out of the BFGs...

Also what size would you guys go with? It is an 8.5" wheel, currently running 255s but I know nittos run small...

How long they last will help reveal how soft the compound is and therefore how well they perform.

For example if I can get 10K miles out of a set of NT555DRs, but if these last only 8K miles (hypothetically) on a similar car and driving pattern, then maybe this is a softer tire with better traction and may be a better tire for a twin screw guy like me. I didn't say I was trying to get high mileage out of them like some damn Prius.

Or I could ask. "How soft is the rubber compound?"
"Oh, it's pretty soft." Great, thanks, that tells me a lot. Or, "can you spin the tires in third gear?" Yeah, my 90 hp Toyota I drove in high school could spin the tires in third gear.

At least mileage is a measurable quantity.
