Ok so I swapoed my friends automatic v6 to a manual v8.

Everything is done except one thing.... The clutch assembly harness. We took the harness out of the donor car GT but it won't plug up in her cabin harness in the v6.

The GT harness has 7 connections on the male connector. The female side in the cabin harness has only 3 connectors. Which make it a smaller female side. I researched and researched and couldn't find how to figure that out.

Is it a different harness I need to purchase? I'll take pictures in the morning

So the car still has the V6 auto harness in it? No surprise that they aren't compatible.

That's going to be a main body harness. Time to get creative.

Got it figured out. The 05-06 harness under the dash has a bigger connector which would use this male end:

The donor car is a 2006

The 07-10 use a smaller connector. Here's the connector under the dash of the car getting the swap done:

You can clearly see the size difference lol.

05-06 clutch harness under the dash will only work with a 05-06 car.

07-10 clutch harness under the dash will only work with a 07-10 car.

Posted for future reference!

Same number of pins? I know Ford changed a fair number of connectors on harnesses between 2006-2007.
