So my mom asked me if my flex would polish a countertop. So I took it out and used some mezerna fg400 to polish out the haze and sf4000 to bring to a gloss. Not too bad I reckon. I was surprised at the results. The only problem i had was not getting the scratches out. After some research i realized its impossible to do so without a sanding stone for countertops. Let me know what you guys think.

Just solid surface. A lot like corian. I did some research and it looks like the only way to truly get the scratches out is with sanding stones that attach to a rotary. They are about 2 1/2" - 3" in diameter. That's just what I could find though. You use those on natural stone tops. Some require many steps of sanding. Then you go back over them with a special polish for stone tops and use a wool pad on a rotary. You can use a DA sander but it seems like its a much more drawn out process that way as compared to the stones.

I'm assuming thought that so long as you just have minor scratches from just putting stuff on your countertops that you can get away with just polishing with a rotary.
