Installed the Ford Racing Boss 302 brake cooling duct kit a couple days ago and figured this would be the best place to post about it. I suck at write ups but what I do have is some crappy cell phones pictures and some pointers cause the FRPP instructions suck. Install was on a 2011 Brembo GT.

1) you can remove the CS fascia without removing the bumper. It's disturbingly easy.

2) I had a real hard time with the hoses sliding off the foglight bezels everytime I'd try to tighten the clamps. Sandpapering the bezels fixed that.

3) you can route the passenger side hose past the washer solvent reservoir. There's a A/C hard line in the way as well, it's tight but it fits.

4) the left side is significantly easier but I did have to bend the horn bracket up for a little more clearance. You run the hose under the horns.

5) both fender liners can be reinstalled with no modification. The extra plastic cover that's on the drivers side can not be reinstalled.

6) I could not, no matter how hard I tried, get the hose to slide over the inlet on the FRPP backing plates. I had to remove the wire in-between the hose about 3 inches to allow it slide over the inlet and be clamped down.

Hey I got mine last night, opened the box looked at the "Parts in Kit" on the instructions and is says "Quanity 2 Fog Light Bezel" but no bezels.

Did your kit have the bezels?

No. You don't need the bezels if your installing it on a regular CS valance. The Boss 302 and LS have blocked off fog light hole bezels.

In reference to the OP on point number 6; uh, yeah. WTF were they thinking on that? Glad to see I'm not the only one who simply couldn't get them on the backing plate and had to resort to cutting wires in the hose. Just totally unnecessary to have that lip on there. Don't get it. That said, they're on and seem to function very well for one track day so far.

Very nice. Unfortunately, my intercooler piping prevents me from running this type of cooling ducts. I'll have to figure something else out though. I don't want to kill my 2 piece rotors.

So, how difficult would adding this kit be if one didn't have access to a lift, and only had jackstands? Someone with little patience, nor skill for that matter. And a bad back as well...

It can be done, but you're going to have to suck it up on the patience part. I did this job tonight on a lift, but I didn't really have the car much higher than it would normally be on jackstands. It took me about 4 hours by myself to do it, but I'm also extremely anal about my car so I took my time and got it done correctly the first time. I do love this valance so much better than the standard GT valance I took off the car.

I did mine back in April with a lift. It's fairly time consuming because the ducts are really not intended to be there.

This thread caught my interest because yesterday I hauled the right side fender liner out and repositioned the windshield washer reservoir 1-5/8" to the right to take the kink out of the hose where it passes between the AC line and the reservoir. My right rotor was running 30 degrees C hotter than the left.

One more tip - as you finish up the install, make sure the hose doesn't interfere with the tire at full lock. I had to use some tie-wraps to pull the hoses inboard so the tire didn't rub.
