I have a set of sportlines that I bought a few months ago for my 08 GT/CS. I can't really find solid proof online as to whether these are lower than the H&R SS springs. I have a set of SVE Drifts waiting to go on as well but I'm waiting to buy tires in a TBD size until after I see what my ride height will be.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to roll with 285/35/19 tires with no wheel gap but some online state that 275/40/19s are the only way I'm going to accomplish that.

So, does anyone have real world proof as to which spring will be lower?

EDIT: Looking back, this thread title blows. Not sure what I was going for there. Sorry. :)

Koni adjustable on H&R super sports. 19" 255 in front and 305's in the rear. Just for reference.

The 285/35 is going to be smaller than the 275/40 so if you are looking to fill the wheel well go with the 275/40. But I think if you really wanna fill the wheel well up you need to go with a 28"-29" tire. Just got tires within a 0.1" of those 275/40's that are going on this evening and I think they are too small.

here is a 29" on ProKits

I've seen a car up close on sportlines and 275/40/19 (27.66") tires and you could maybe fit a finger under the fender. I'd like to see, assuming the HR SS springs are even shorter, if I can get the same look with a 285/35 since I want as wide a tire as will fit in the back as possible on a 9.5" rim

I have the Supersports and my car is a decent amount lower than my buddies car on sportlines. This is my car on the Supersports with 255/35/20 and 285/30/20 tires.

Is a springs height consistent across the entire s197 line or are the 05-09s different than 10+?

In some pictures, it seems like the newer ones sit lower.

Not real world like you asked for but all the research I've done shows the H&Rs are lower. I'm currently debating between the 2.

Here are the 305/40/18's which are 6 mm shorter than the 275/40/19's that we were talking about. It fills the wheel well pretty good.

Sportlines
265/35-20 front
305/35-20 rear (29.5" tall)

I think the H&R SS springs are a little shorter but I've never seen them compared on the same car.

Cav, those Sportlines look pretty good.

I'm really surprised this question hasn't been asked before. Seems like every thread I find on this is for the SN95 cars.

If you're talkin about Cav's car, he has the "race" springs not the super sports. The super sports are the lowest springs I've come across.

Yeah mine has H&R race springs which are comparable to the eibach pro-kit.

I'll gladly sell this and buy HR SS if they are lower and just eat the difference in $$.

From what I can gather, the manufacturer claims are that the HR springs are .1" lower in front and the Sportlines are .1" lower in back.
