I have them also, and Im not happy with them. Shelby has already given me a replacement set, too. And those look like crap after a while..I dont use the the cables cuz it started to scuff the paint. The locking pin rings bend and pop out of their holes. If it wasnt for holes in my hood, I would off them..

those are the hood pins that i like the most, i had a friend power coat them to avoid the cheap paint to flake.

i need to get mine powdercoated too cause of the paint issues. i put different style pins in for the same reason of them coming off the holes. i have some straight push in style ones on here now.

I like those, they look good. I'm assuming this is the only way to keep our hoods from looking like they are going to come flying up on the interstate?

true there. The hood does vibrate a little to much on the highway for me. I will be driving to Carlisle in a little over a week so I can be relaxed now.

I removed the cables because they turn brown. I'm on my third set. So now Im just using the pins

As soon mine discolor I will be throwing them in the garbage and will not replace them. Thanks for the info.. I will keep an eye on them.

I had mine over a year, no problems with paint because they have the sleeving around the cable. I only took them off because of the browning and rusting
