Suitable substitute for T185/55R18 space saver spare tire

215s are the narrowest standard 18" tire I know of. A 215/45 is slightly shorter than your original spare and a 215/50 is slightly taller. Neither will fit the wheel you have very well. I would source a cheap 18x7 aftermarket wheel that clears the brake calipers. If you have the Brembos, that...

    Read Brake Rebuild Guide

Plenty of YouTube videos on this. This one is S197 specific but not the clearest at times: Any single piston caliper with an integrated park brake works pretty much the same way so most rear caliper rebuild videos will give you the info you need even if they aren't specific to your car.

Gen 3 Coyote fuel pump that fits in a 2005 V6 4.0 fuel tank.

Do the Coyote electronics require a different type of pump than the earlier cars? If not, any 05-10 high volume pump should suffice. FWIW, I'm running this universal Walbro 400lph in my supercharged '05 GT. It did require slight modification of the oem pump hat...

    QUESTION FOR TURBO OWNERS

I'm running a Vortech but the idea is the same. I have the same setup as you on the driver's side and an open hose (5/16" maybe?) On the passenger side running back to the supercharger inlet. I'm thinking your small filter on the passenger's side is too restrictive and causes pressure to build...

    4 Door Mustang?

The current coupe/convertible is already a bloated caricature of what a Mustang should be so sure, why not double down with a sedan version? IMHO, YMMV, EIEIO of course.

2014 Mustang GT ProCharger Help Needed

Hopefully you ensured the supercharger is the correct rotation and outlet orientation. If you can do the fabrication work yourself, you may be able to come up with mounting brackets and piping cheaper than buying them. If not, your best bet is likely going to be bite the bullet and order them...

    2008 GT Clutch Type

The TR3650 that came in the GTs has a 10 spline input shaft. There are aftermarket 26 spline input shafts available as an upgrade. The GT500s got a 6 speed (TR6060) with a 26 spline input shaft stock.

Motor mount removal, can get engine mount to move

It's been said already, but for clarity: There are four bolts holding each bracket to the block. Some of those bolts have threads above the head as well, onto which a nut is threaded to hold something else on to the engine. You need to remove the nut, then pull off whatever that "something" is...

    Advice Needed - Buying Wheels

You can run 10s with 42-45mm offset and 275s or 285s on all four corners if you want to be able to rotate your tires. The offsets you have listed are all a touch agressive and will poke a bit in the rear, possibly in the front as well if you're running factory camber specs. If you like the...

    Hagerty Insurance?

My Mustang and one other vehicle are insured with Hagerty. Haven't had to make any claims but when I have had to interact with them, it's been pleasant enough. The Mustang policy wasn't significantly cheaper with Hagerty but they didn't give me a hard time about the supercharger and if it gets...

What would YOU do for an engine build in my situation?

That RPM level is gonna get expensive. The 4.6 is already a small bore/long stroke engine. I personally wouldn't add more stroke if I was dead set on a screaming redline. The stock ECU isn't going to allow that much RPM so you're effectively going to be doing everything you would need to engine...

Newbie: What Mustang would you buy with a $10K budget

Have you actually obtained insurance quotes? When I was car shopping with my teenage nephew, a '05-'09 GT was slightly cheaper for him to insure than a '11-'14 V6 and a '98-'02 Camaro Z28 would have cost the same as a 3.8 V6 powered version.

Newly stroked 4.6 3v need cam suggestions

This is the concerning part. A cam can not add fuel. You're going to be relying on the MAF meter and the the limits of how much fuel the ECU will add through LTFT before it decides something is wrong and throws a DTC. I assume you're just hoping to use the stock tune to get the car smogged and...

    LTB a GT-500 … have questions… need your HELP! … Please !

$46k is getting into the bottom of the barrel for decent '13-'14 GT500s. They're around if you don't mind a few miles and rough edges but I wouldn't expect to find a high option, one owner, sub 10k mile car for that money. It will get you an extremely nice '11-'12 though.

2006 Mustang GT when car is cold or hot idling it holds 50 lb of oil pressure when you give it a little throttle it will drop 4 lb and then 65

Something is screwy. 50 psi at cold idle is low which could indicate an internal leak or worn bearings but that same 50 psi hot is abnormally high so that would seem to eliminate those as potential issues. I would start with trying another gauge.

    2011 or 2012

Do some digging on when Ford sorted out the EPAS and clutch issues that the early Coyote cars suffered from. I don't know the answer, unfortunately. Might be a reason to avoid the 2011 unless you are in love with the CS package and willing to correct those problems yourself.

    Ford 460 motor swap

There's a few 385 series BBF swapped S197s out there. The one I know the most about retained basically none of the original electrical system. Be aware that even if you don't currently need an inspection to get the car plated after this swap, it will not be street legal by the letter of the law...

    SUPER SNAKE!

I wasn't saying any of those cars are direct competition for this Shelby, just something else someone with $200k burning a hole in their pocket could choose. They all give up HP to the Super Snake in exchange for something else. It was more just an observation that there's nothing there that...

    SUPER SNAKE!

Figuring these will start in the $150k range (2023s started at $140k+), I went "shopping" with $200k I don't have. I assumed there would be multiple cars that are blatantly better choices for that kind of coin but discovered I really don't want any of them. You aren't getting anywhere near a 911...

    19" wheel width

IIRC the only 19x9s were the Brembo package wheels and the fronts on Boss 302s (which got 19x10 rears). GT500s got 9.5 wides all around and all other 19s were 8.5 wide. If you really want to make sure, that info is cast or stamped on the back side of the vast majority of wheels.

    Magnum 500 Wheels

The GT came with bigger front brakes than the V6. The OEM 16" base wheels will not clear the GT brakes. Can't say with 100% certainty that any particular aftermarket 16" won't clear but I'd bet the vast majority won't.

    Fuel pump issue

I just replaced it with submersible rubber fuel line. Carved some barbs into the plastic bits the hose connects to and used stepless clamps to secure it. You have to be careful where the hose wants to sit as it could interfere with the fuel level floats. Probably best to use a few brass 90°...

    Fuel pump issue

Had the same issue last year. Crossover tube had a leak in it so once the fuel level got below the tube, it just sucked air. I couldn't find the leak but replaced the tube and no more running out of fuel with the gauge showing 1/4 tank.
