    Feedback, concerned about temperature.

That doesn't hurt at all. 192 is the stock thermostat range, so coolant temp will often be around/over 200. Not a big deal. When it gets too hot, in the 220's at some point, the high speed will kick on, and if the a/c is running, the PCM will command it off to help cool down the engine. It's...

    Another Electrical question

A P0340 has often been an alternator issue. If you measure voltage when running, when voltage drops down to around 12.5 volts more or less, it'll trigger a p0340. The key here is to measure and monitor the voltage when running. It should always be in the upper 13 volts to low 14's. If voltage is...

    Feedback, concerned about temperature.

Dont pay too much attention to the gauge; it's not perfectly linear. When you get your OBDII back working, check/monitor temps that way if you want to be more pecise. Did you keep the same temp sensor with the new housing, or did you replace it too? Could be a factor as well. Also, keep an eye...

    Rear brakes always this hard?

Not on the fronts. I too did the front GT500 brake conversion, upgraded rotors and to braided hoses/lines. Pretty easy conversion. You rims have to clear, though, and that can be a problem. Back rotors are the same on both. Back to the issue, it does sound like a sticking/stuck caliper. Should...

Turbo Piping for CG fabrication forward-facing headers on 3V 4.6/5.4

Selling these front turbo mount pipes that are typically part of one of the CG Fabrication front turbo mounting kits for a 3V. This is the crossover pipe with a T4 flange, and a flexible adapter pipe; intended to be used with their forward-facing headers. (I do not have the headers, just these...

    What am I missing??

What is the exact code(s) you are seeing? I didn't see that posted. If it's slow response, that a tuning change to support moving the o2 sensors in the headers, farther downstream from stock location. The code tells the story, especially since the fuel trims don't look too bad.

05 fuel pump install(crack head specialty)

Wow, what a hack job! That is soooo dangerous! Proper fuel system operaition runs high pressure and those connections and hose are not going to last a long time. Now back to helping: - is the hard line there that runs to the fuel filter, is the fuel filter there and the line that runs to the...

2006 Mustang with Pony Package, fog lights not working?

No need to even use the SJB, if you're ok with running a wire or two. The circuit is pretty simple: the light switch fog-lamp mode (pull-out), tells the SJB to ground the foglamp relay in the BEC (underhood fuse box, "bussed electrical center"). Wiring from there goes through the front harness...

2006 GT Water Crossover Gasket fitting Kit

As mentioned, the seals don't usually need to be replaced, unless they are bad or damaged. The round seal is the same across all year models from 2005-2010. The other odd-shape size, there are 2 styles that are made: the one shown in the pic, and another style where another piece of the seal...

My Latest Twin-Turbo Project on the 2005

Just completed some major changes to my "fun" Mustang, including: - converting the S&H "stealt" twin turbo setup to a top-side under-hood setup, including fabication of custom headers and all hot-side piping - swap the 4R70W to a built 6R80 and USShift Quick6 remote-display controller and 2014...

Issue after Kenne Bell Supercharger install

Just a simple check, but is the pigtail from the sensor plugged into the proper harness connector? If I recall, it's the same as the IMRC plug in the harness, easy to cross them. I broke that sensor, too, when I did my KB install the first time, but did not have any codes/issues with it once...

    Heater hose Assembly

One of the first mods I did to my '05 was to bypass the heated throttle body hose (took out one hose, connected the other to the metal pipe by the valve cover, to complete the flow path); Ford did away with the heated-t/b setup in subsequent years. If you have a differnt metal pipe from a newer...

Coolant Crossover, Thermostat and Housing, Hoses

Let me know if you got my message/phone number via email. I do still have it, let's work something out to help you! Be reminded though, this is the 05/06 style, not the '07+; I used it on my '09 engine.

    Rear main seal installation tool.

With the tools, you do NOT remove the rear cover plate. I do still rent them out. And you are correct, the inner seal and slinger are difficult to put in without messing them up without the tools (been there, done that, had to redo them...then I got the tools!). The set also contains removal...

Coolant Crossover, Thermostat and Housing, Hoses

Troy, I think you do not have enough posts yet to send direct messages. I have it listed in Austin craigslist, which would be another way to reach out to me. https://austin.craigslist.org/pts/d/weir-mustang-gt-coolant-crossover-hoses/7707171271.html

    Trouble with steering rack

Torque the 2 steering rack bolts to 85 ft-lbs each. Depending on the k-member, it may use a 1/2" bolt and separate self-locking nut that you have to prevent from turning when tightening to torque.

    2008 Instrument cluster change upgrade.

Glad to see you're making progress! As far as the original v6, same thing happened to one I picked up in a donor (which now has a GT drivetrain): all the coolant blew out the the thermostat housing broke, overheating/seizing the engine. Regarding the cluster, you already got it in. Not that...

    Rough idle on 06 4.0

What is your air intake setup? Using a CAI without a tune? Other mods? Normally, your issue would be caused by the spark plugs, but they don't throw lean codes on both sides at the same time. Or the fuel filter may need changing. But as mentioned, use a scanner and monitor the front O2...

    Intake manifold breakdown

If you have a bunch of yellow 'baby-shit-like' gunk in the engine and some in the intake, it is likely from inadequate PCV/crankcase ventillation, especially if engine is modified in any way and the two valve cover hoses/lines are removed or plugged. This happens in cold weather and humidity.

    Blend door drumming

I like to try to put a hand on them when turning the key on. Have someone turn the key on if needed. You can feel the broken gears grinding when the key is turned on :) . And yeah, they're a pita. I have another one I need to replace now. Oh, and avoid the cheapy aftermarket replacements...
