Has anyone ran into this? This has happened 3 times now. First on stock arms then on both new ORM replacement Arms after 7 months. Anyone? Because no one here has an answer for me.
It’s an 09 base v6 mustang with SVT rims. Nothing special about it except the little girl that drives it. My daughter.

As Miker says go with GT500 arms.

Never seen that before. That's mechanical damage. What is she running over? Speed bumps at 50?
My thoughts also.
So, whats in/on the road just before that happened? Pretty sure you had to get it towed....so you know where abouts it broke.
Repeated failure of the same part usually means the issue is not that part.

Interesting. I heard that is why Ford beefed up the control arms. But that looks like one of those arms.
I spoke too soon.

Ballpoint end of the arm looks like standard arm, but it looks like it has the extra reinforcement towards the one rear bushing, which led me to think it was the later arm.

As said, get the GT500 type arm. MUCH stronger.

Did you mean OEM? There are some pretty cheap replacement LCAs out there that are suspect from the get go. Just put GT500 arms on it and be done.
When It got my GT the suspension was GONE ! It rode like a stage coach, first thing I replaced where the front control arms and I went straight to the GT500 ones haven't have an issue since. Replace it once with something better than what it came with thats my motto and I've carried that falsify through out the whole build.

So this is a perfect example of duplicating a product. When the aftermarket replicates something, legally they have to change something due to Patent rights. Most likely a softer grade metal or not as thick. Upgrade to OEM GT500 Arms. Cant hurt anything.

Thank you all for the replies! Yes OEM. Regular Good old Georgia roads kinda like off roading lol. And it separated from the ball joint on both sides on the new set. I ordered the part on EBay that was my first mistake, it said reinforced an gt500. Ya I am gonna order the gt 500 ones from poney are ford. Unless yall know a better site. I appreciate yalls time. My daughter does everything on her car here in the garage with me. I just have never seen this.
If I didn’t hit you back on your reply my apologies, but I do appreciate yalls speedy replies.
Thx again!

They are several pounds heavier.
Didn't I read somewhere about reports of balljoints coming loose is some of the currently available non GT500 arms?
If so, that looseness and vibration would wreck the arm for sure.
