You should bring the car out and drive.. You can just practice all day if you want.. And, if you feel up to it at the end, you can do the comp.. need a cage tho

Me and my buddy will both be out there for the practice in may and if AT doesn't get in the way, we'll be there in June as well. I don't know if I will have a cage by then though, as that bit of bonus money looks like its going to a motorcycle. Does the cage have to conform to any particular set of regulations?

Thanks! All these pictures were taken by Aaron Losey and fivehunsky. They managed to make my suckage look good. Lets just say I have an issue with transitions. Sure as shit was alot of fun though.

Too watch Aaron Losey drift my car around the course with one finger tip to illistrate a point was pretty amazing.

So what exactly do you do when drifting? Do you actually crank up the ebrake then feather the gas pedal? Never understood how to do this.

Bow wow told me easiest way to do it is pull the ebrake but his instructions arent that good so I dont wanna trust him ;)

It depends on the track layout. Road Atlanta is an e brake into the first turn due to the high speed straight followed by the slower turn at the end of the straight.

I usually like to kick the clutch and stand on the gas. That works well if you want to keep your speed up through the turn.

....wth? you really need to try it to understand. It's the stupidest thing you can do in a car but it's a lot of fun.

i guess it stayed together?? LOL

I was trying to kill it. :thumb:

I need to be able to rev through 3rd gear like I do in 2nd. it's always easier for me to back off the throttle. ...for some reason I see this getting real expensive. I'll be in touch soon.

I really need more power for Road Atlanta next year!!
I was there and I have to say good job!!! I also want to know what was going on with your car? It sounded like it was just needing a bit more power. I noticed it was fine everytime until you had to hit 3rd out of the tear drop and it would just fall on its face. Was it an issue with the motor or you just need more power?

Yep, it needs more power and not just a little bit. The way the car is geared now it should be around 90 in 3rd. It just wouldn't push the tires. ...somewhere around 600whp should do the trick.

Road Atlanta has a shit ton of grip so that didn't help either.

Pretty awesome, too bad i'm going auto now for drag. Drifting is too expensive for me! LOL I can barely pay for the one set of tires I have.
