So as I’m getting ready to but my phasers on and notice I may have positioned my motor at TDC but not on the compression stroke? I put the drivers side phaser on and the timing mark that is pointing up is the letter R. It should show the L, no? And then I notice the intake lobes on the cam are about to hit the followers.

My question is, do I just turn the crank 360* and the cams 180* and then install the chains. Or should I put the chains on and turn everything at once and then realign the chains on their marks? My concern is PTV contact.

You didn't move the cams? I have always heard to rotate these engines a few times just to make sure the timing marks line up.

No. But when I rotated it to remove everything I didn’t realize I did it 180* off. I’m at TDC on the exhaust stroke.
