Sux to hear. To me from the 07 to an 11 the price is quite a bit higher. You're talking about a 4k to 5k increase. Kinda out of reach for alot of the market that the Mustang was targeted for.

Considering it would take 5k for an 07 to match the performance , I for one think it's a fair trade.

I love the pro-chamber btw!

Still not bad for major changes including a whole new engine(that adds 112 HP, 70 TQ, and .4 liters), 6 speed transmission, reworked body, redesigned interior(finally with soft materials which I think are plastic that feel almost like leather), electronic power steering, "close to mid length" headers, higher flowing mufflers/midpipe, vastly upgraded suspension, and performance figures very in line with the 25-30,000 more BMW M3. I think all of that is worth a lot more than 4,000-5,000. :)

When you consider the high percentage of people that bought 4.6's and supercharged them to have a car between the GT and the GT500 for horsepower and now look at how Ford has filled that gap themselves...it's brillant.

The V-6 was a dud until this year sorry.

Now we have a platform that gives 4.6l performance with V6 milage.
A GT that outperforms the 2007 with 7k worth the mods and a 10 with 5k.
A GT-500 with off the charts performance compared to it's roots.

And we all win, especially Ford that now has a proven powerplant that can be modified and changed to suit 80% of it's lineup.

Who wants a 300hp ranger FX4? lots of young guys.

Who wants an entry level 412hp F-150?

300HP V-6 F-150 with over 30 mpg?

This on top of these engines being pre-set for Eco Boost and DI technology.

Makes me proud to say I'm a Ford guy through and through.

I'd be amazed to see that, frankly. It won't happen with the current engine. An F-150 is neither as light nor as aerodynamic as a V6 Mustang. Both of those will mangle MPG ratings.

As is yes Hawkeye, but in 2 years they can do it.

We NEVER thought you could break 20mpg with 400hp in a Mustang either....

Very exciting times coming, for about another 3 years til Obama kills all the fun.

I just wish I had the money to go out and trade mine in now!! I'll just have to wait until 2013 or so when I finish paying for mine.
