The 323 Shortblock is 7,100, and the 298 Shortblock is about 5,000. I would take saving 2,100 over 25 extra cubes.
If I was to do it id spend the cheese figure like this if your NA and lets say your motor makes 1.5HP per cubic inch the 323 will make about 38HP more and if your FI and lets say your motor make 2HP per cubic inch your talking 50 easy HP more,now factor in the TQ difference which is where these motors need help. in all honesty if this bitch ever blows or i just get some extra change later im doing a stroked 5.4 3v and getting mike to fab up the rest of the stuff i need
