Yea buddy... 3 years of 80+mph driveshaft vibe! (going to have my rear end totally re-built, vibe even happened with the stock driveshaft.

And I was hoping it was just a bearing or seal! luckily I have an extra 3650. :mad2:

Question is should I tell the dealer to swap the whole trans or just swap the tailshaft housing, which is easier/less expensive? I would think swapping just the tailshaft housing.

It cracked up by the speed sensor, I can wiggle that little upper chunk there with my finger and it starts bleeding.. LOL

JB Weld that bitch up!

seriously - if the trans is fine otherwise, just swap the tail shaft IMO (if it can be done that simply)

Sure am, it's only 10 min away. going to take it in the ass but I need the car back before the 16th.
I don't know any good trans guys near me.

:roflmao: JB weld.
It looks as if the tailshaft is pulling the DS, the flange, disconnecting the shift arm, draining the trans and undoing 12 bolts that hold the tailshaft to the main body.
I'd say that would be much easier and less expensive than swapping the whole trans, I will just buy another tailshaft down the line and throw it back on my extrat rans.

I can't drive the car to PA it's already lost a lot of fluid.
I heard good things about them though and the plan was to build the extra 3650.
Maybe doing that but for now I have to get this fixed ASAP.

Pull the trans and take it to a welding shop and have someone tig it. Cheap and easy fix so you can build the other trans.

You think some weld will fix that? I don't know how far the crack goes.
Can't see much up there.

If he pulls the trans he might as well put the other one in.

Any reputable mechanic shop can swap out the trans.
The dealer will want to remove the trans to swap the tailhousing so it would be cheaper to just swap the trans out.

Aint equipped for dropping the trans :(.
I'll see what the dealer says, I don't see a need to drop the trans to get that tailshaft housing out, if anything just lower it a bit by loosening the K member.
That would be some bullshit if they tell me that.

Can you add some more fluid to the transmission? That would allow you to be able to drive it.

Yeah, handing over $600-800 to the stealership for an hour's worth of work is much easier than spending $8 on a quart of transmission fluid and crawling under the car to squirt it into the fill plug.

:/ idk what to do
When shit breaks on my car I just immediately bring it to the closest place I want it fixed and back in possession ASAP.
Even if I fill it I don't feel good driving 45 min out.
