So I am putting together a track wheel and tire package for my '14 track pack car and I need 100% confirmation, preferably with pics, of an 18x10 inch AMR wheel fitting over stock Brembo brakes.

I've searched and searched to really no avail, only finding one thread of someone who said they ran that setup with Brembo brakes. Can anyone else confirm fitment of this setup? I know the +48 offset is good to go, especially since I have coilovers, but will the inner barrel clear on the outside of the brake caliper? Any help is very much appreciated.

AM's website has the answer.....

:thud:

Fitment:
V6 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14
GT 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14
GT500 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12
Bullitt 08, 09
Boss 12, 13
Known Exceptions:
Does not fit 2013-2014 GT500

You will not be able to run these wheels on the front as they are too wide and will rub the wheel well. If you used a large spacer with extended or longer replaced studs, you may be able to but this isn't advised.

Yeah I read AM's site, and most of that stuff is a disclaimer anyway so they are not held liable for various reasons. I have read and seen many folks on here running 18x10 with the +48 offset no problems. However most guys that have posted about it or provided a picture are using base model brakes. Like my first post, I am trying to find info form folks that have run a these style wheels with Brembo brakes. Thanks

Looks like I found answer, it was in one of the photos on AM's site. Clear picture of Brembo brakes right there.

It's listed as a rear only on the AM site, not sure of the reason, might be a fender clearance issue.

Just incase anyone else comes along with the same question, it is a confirmed fit with up to 295/40/18 tires and -2" drop.

Quote from 19COBRA93:

"They're the standard 05-13 offset on AM's site. No fitment issues at all, no spacers, they clear the Brembos no problem. They fit perfectly. I don't know why they list them as rear only. The 18x10's fit the front flawlessly.

I'm running 295-40-18 Falken Azenis all the way around right now, but in some of those pics I was running 285-40-18 Goodyear F1 Supercar's (stock GT500 rears) all the way around. No fitment issues at all with either set. I run the Falkens during the summer, and the Goodyears during the winter."

Also a quote from Dan Bailer from American Muscle:

"We don't recommend 18x10's for the front. However, there is a lot of people running this set up. We don't recommend it for the front in case you run into clearance issues. We're not saying you're going to, but we don't want to recommend it in-case you do.

I don't see a problem with it personally. It sounds like there is some great advice floating around this thread also. If you follow the steps to make sure you won't run into any clearance issues, you should be in good shape!

Hope this helps. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!

-Dan"

^^^thank you^^^^

Welcome sir.

Edit:

I went ahead and ordered a full set of AMR 18 x 10's in the bright silver finish. AM has them on clearance for one more day (Oct. 17th) for only $99 a wheel. A full set with the forum discount of 6% yielded a shipped total of $375. Hard to beat that. Now just have to order up some Hankook R-S3's...

I have seen those shots, and Sky Render has specifically said he has had them on his car and they fit. I'll find out for sure Monday when my charcoal set arrives. Next is to find tires to wrap around them (for autox & track days).

Awesome. Please be sure to post results with pictures if possible. I still have another two months in this deployment before I can install them on my car :sigh:

Also, what tire options were you looking at for the track? I did find some R-S3's on amazon in 285/35/18 for $180 a piece, but not too crazy about running a 25.9" tire.

I'm hoping to find something like a 275/40-18 or 285/40-18 to get closer to 27" I am poking around the archives here to see what discussion has gone on in the past.

If I want to use these with SCCA, GoodGuys, etc. I'll need to stick with 200 treadwear tires. If I decide to just use them for HPDE, then anything goes & used race tires become an option.

You're going to gave to live with a 35 sidewall unless you want bridgestone re11's, which are good tires. The rivals & rs3's are 35's. I don't think direzzas come any taller than 30....

Get 3.31's and you're golden.

Yeah that's what I am finding out too. Weird how there are not to many options for the 285/40's. The only other options other than what you stated I have found were so far are NT05's, Pzero system, (2007 era on tirerack) and Goodyear supercars. Not a lot of great choices and I really don't want to do a gear swap either. (have 3.73's) I'll keep digging around I guess.

I think I'll start a new thread so this one doesn't go off on a (related) tangent.
