I own what was previously a v6 mustang "premium". I did a motor and transmission swap and the only thing left on my car that is still original to the "v6" are the brakes, instrument cluster, and emblems in some locations. I would like to change my instrument cluster to the GT instrument cluster. My current cluster has the mycolor option already and I have the info, setup, reset buttons as well. If i find a GT Instrument cluster is it as simple as unplugging my v6 one and plugging in the GT cluster or will I need to get ford involved because of the odometer?

I did a search on the forum and didn't find any definitive answers but maybe I didn't search well enough. If anyone has links to definitive answers on this or can provide insight I would greatly appreciate it.

Get one close to your odometer setting and you're good to go.
(I'm still using a stock V6 cluster as well, lol...need to upgrade. Although past 120, I dont look at the speedometer anyways.)

Everything for the swap is explained in a few threads on here if you look.
