Replacing rings and bearings would not warrant a rebalance.
When you tear down, I would check everything and if it looks good, reuse it.
Why are you tearing down a fresh engine?
Cranking with the pump unplugged only relieves fuel pressure so it doesn’t spray everywhere. The rail will still have fuel in it.

I lost no ET and picked up mph in the quarter. The 60’ got a just a touch softer. I would not bother with gears.
Did you guys just change the bushing or did you change the upper arm as well?
This is the last piece of suspension that I need to change on my 07. Been chasing bumping and banging ever since I got the car, it’s better now, but still kind of there.
I just swapped from gt500 upper mounts to maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates. They installed perfectly and work really well, but they are extremely loud over rough roads. I’m seriously thinking about going back to gt500 mounts because they are that loud.

I haven’t seen any videos on the process, but this thread has a lot of good info in it. You’ll obviously have to pull the trans back down, and get a new slave cylinder. Once you have that, you can take your measurements.
