Anyone run Hoosier DRs on the street?

I really do not want to change tires at the track and was thinking about buying a set of Hoosier DR's. I have read that these tires hook but they say not for street use. I really don't care how long they last or how they handle in the rain. I just need to hook more consistently. Any input...

Getting 15" fronts to fit inside the wheel well

I am not sure this is of interest to anyone but thanks to BMR and the gang at MPH Racing my 15" front look a lot better. My setup is Holeshot wheels 15x4.5 in front and 15x10 in the back. I have always hated the fact that my front tires stick out about an inch and talked to BMR about custom A...

Kooks LT Headers (part number 6022-134)

Like new set of Kooks long tubes headers. These headers are coated and look like new. I highly recommend these on cars running more than 12 pounds of boost. They will work fine on cars running less boost but you will lose some low end torque. $550 plus shipping or best offer.

God hates me...broke on the way to the track

Short story, I lost what I believe is the alternator on the way to the track today. Long story, We have had a hot summer, too hot for racing. In the spring I was working on getting the car ready and coaching baseball so no time for racing. When I saw the weather forecast for this Saturday...

    Opti-Coat 2.0, my review

Ok, let me state that I am not in the same league as the experts on here like Seer. Before I bought this car I bought all my car cleaning and care supplies at Kmart. Since I bought this car I stepped up on the care and have tried a number of higher end products like (Zaino, Fusion, Pinnacle...

Solar Powered Bat. Charger at the Track?

Maybe I should have put this is the chit chat section but since this would only be for the strip I put it here. Last time I was at the track I was using the bottle heater between runs and ran the battery down. Since most of the time I race it is sunny I was thinking about buying a solar...

    CMC's Fastest 3V

Last weekend the Chicagoland Mustang Club had a track day. Over 90 mustangs showed up. It was great getting to see a lot of cool cars and getting some runs in. Byron Dragway set us up with 4 lanes and really did a great job, as always. I was lucky enough to win fastest 3v. This was the first...

    New PB, thanks Bob Kurgan

I went to the CMC track day and once the rain stopped I ran a new personal best, 11.41 @ 116. I had the tune done over winter but Bob came out to the track the week before and helped me start data logging and other stuff. I am sure the car as it sits has an 11.3 or a 11.2 in it. BTW, if you...

    Is my new trans f'ed?

Went to the track today and think I might have damaged my new 4R70W. After my last run I heard a new noise on the return road. It was kind of howling sound. At first I thought it was coming from the differential but once I was able to get away from the track I did a couple of tests and feel...
