Car looks great Terry!
Hi Andy,Car looks great Terry!
Here are a couple of current pics.
Hey Terry, running the same cold air as you, What's the part number on that CAI filter, I may get one.
Hey Chip,Terry, thanks for the detailed write up on your impressions of the Dynamat. I live just south of you, in Huntsville, AL, so I know what you mean about the heat. But for me, it's not the heat so much, I would just like a quieter interior. Who knows, I may even upgrade my stereo! LOL If I keep my car, I am seriously contemplating doing the Dynamat, but I will probably try to do it myself to save labor costs.
Looking at the invoice, am I reading that correctly, $2K for labor?
Otherwise, your car is still looking awesome! Maybe one day I'll get back up there to Nashville Cars and Coffee and I can see that thing in person.
Terry,
After looking through all your posts it doesn't look like you've experienced too many troubles with the TCI 5r55s. I have the same trans and am looking for your long term review. Thoughts?
Thanks for the quick response Terry. You're the shining light I've been looking for lol. I keep reading all the horror stories of these trans blowing up, a little worrisome.
I'm a few weeks away from a whipple set up, mild street build but keeping peak numbers around 480rwhp. I've been nervous about spending this kind of money and having tranny issues (new TCI SSF has 400mi on it). Seems like from your feedback straight line acceleration isn't bad, but dropping multiple gears is the killer.
Very interesting stuff Terry. I'm running a circle D too, rebuilt at the same time as the trans. I think it's unbelievable you have almost 50k miles with all the builds you've had on that trans. You've definitely given me the confidence I needed to feel at ease about making this next big purchase. It's just going to be a fun street car on street tired and driven on the weekends. Thanks for the help, if there's anymore advice I'm all ears!
Jason,Damn that looks good...
But I don't have to tell you that. Too late...
Thanks for sharing, glad they figured it out and I am sure you are glad they are locall
David,Terry, looks like the wheels you have are discontinued.....
