We are going to be running a set of MMR Stage 3 Boss 302 Heads on the car.

This will include a set of Boss 302 Heads withe MMR's stage 3 port. MMR Stage 3 Custom Blower Cams with lockouts.

MMR Custom Race / Spring & Retainer Kit along with MMR's Stainless Steel Valve Kit.

Can you explain why you are using Boss heads to convert? I would think it would be cheaper to use the GT heads to CNC. Being you are not using the cnc porting the Boss heads have or their upgraded springs and retainers. Because it has a stronger core? Or am I missing something else?

The Boss head is a different grade of aluminum that is better for high heat/pressure. This is to resist fatigue.

In drag racing it’s unlikely i'll get to the top range, but i do drive the car every day.

The protection is really for road race usage, However, if i'm going to do a top notch build, I want to start with the best parts.

Otherwise the Boss head is already cut for the larger exhaust valve, but, if your doing a valve job......

Are you trying to keep the 6R80 in it? Im sure you know this, but low 9's and low 8's are worlds apart power wise.

yes, i want to continue to push the 6r80 as far as i can

and yes, def worlds apart,

but, if we can add 33% more power to the car, that should be a good start :)

Nice, Im curious to see how far that trans will go!

Yeah, 33% more power should help quite a bit! My advise is even if the car runs faster than 8.50 don't 25.5 it. The funny car cage takes alot of the "street" out of it, trust me. Lol

thats why i have my goal of 8.5's in the heat.

then i can dial the tune back in better weather,

and "occassionally" make a "spirited" pass

What made you decide to go with MMR?

Had to be $$$

The overall package was pretty good. They have been doing alot with the heads / cams, I really liked the intake.

I sell their parts as well, and they had already done a small sponsorship with me in the past.

The overall deal was very good. And the package looks very promising.
