Hi Mike,
Off Topic: Not a Problem here at all. I ask the question as I am interested in purchasing the Blower and I am in No-Way interested in Bashing Tillman, Period.
I've been around for a very long time with performance vehicles.
And Totally realize that things can and do happen.
In some cases a Defective Component as well as Frustated Installer/Company.
Question ? On the units you guys have installed on "Stock" Mustangs have you by chance done a 2008/2009 Bullitt Mustang with the Factory FRPP CAI ?
My Bullitt Mustang getting the Steeda "Billet" Delete Plates and Underdrive Pulleys installed.
This will show you the Factory FRPP CAI intake that comes on the Bullitt.
Or if not the Bullitt Mustang with the CAI, what about the GT Mustang and instead of using the Stock Air Box going with the Edelbrock CAI that is part of a Upgrade for Higher Output ?
E-FORCE COMPETITION AIR INTAKE SYSTEM
The E-Force Competition Air Intake System includes a high flow, 95mm, Mass Airflow Sensor (MAFS) capable of supporting up to 90 lbs/min of air flow. It includes an 8" long, reusable, open element filter with plastic shroud. This system is for use with Competition Supercharger kit #1585.
The Bullitt Mustang as you know comes with the FRPP CAI and I would imagine that you cannot run it. But I would think you could purchase this Part #15808 and have Higher Output plus keep the look of the Factory CAI that the Bullitt Mustang has.
I realize that this is just one of the options for the Edelbrock. My real concern here is the Tune that is shipped with the Edelbrock. It would NOT be correct I would NOT think for the Option of the #15808 CAI.
I have been reading as many Threads/Post that I can find on the New Edelbrock Blower and I did see that a Poster did ask this Question.
What about the Mustangs in this case My 2008 Bullitt Mustang that has the Steeda Underdrive Pulleys, Steeda "Billet" Delete Plates, FRPP 4:10 Gears and running a (Custom 93-Octane BRENSPEED Tune) ? Along with a Magnaflow #16674 3" Exhaust System. My understanding is that you have to download the (Stock Tune) back. That certainly is NOT going to work because of Obvious reasons of the other Mods that I just Listed.
I'm Very much interested in how the Edlebrock Tune is going to work with Mustangs like my Bullitt that has Performance Mods already.
I would think that you guys installing the Edelbrock have (Already) experienced this situation. Very Few owners have Completely Stock Mustangs with No-Performance Mods already on their car.
I would certainly Appreciate any (Matter-of-Fact) information regarding the above. I'm NOT into just Posting here or on any other Forum just for the Heck of it. I'm asking these questions in the Hope that the Performance Shops that have and are doing the installs for the "New Edelbrock" have the Answers as you have already went through the process.
I think you can see that if these Questions cannot be answered then Me or Anyone else considering the Edelbrock will have to go with a different Blower that the Tune is done in Shop to Handle All Mods Done along with the Installed New Blower.
