Hey All,
Long term enthusiast of these cars... finally pulled the trigger on a beautiful 2007 Mustang GT 5 Speed manual from a long term owner last year. I've done a few appearance mods and plan more as time passes. Slow and steady
As I've been going through the car bit by bit, one area I have wanted to plan (a bit more long term) is suspension. I have had to replace some items just due to normal wear. Currently at 76,000 miles.
Still in the planning Stages, but I have gone back and forth about a suspension package like the FRPP Assembled handling pack vs Roush. Then I began thinking for my style, I may be able to piece together a nice package in stages.
Let me know what you think of this. I am not an aggressive driver, no track at all of any kind, etc. Just want a sporty setup. I'm big into trucks so Bilstien is a very good name I know and prefer. Also seems to be a solid blend of stock like comfort, but with the added handling benefits of a better monotube shock.
- Bilstein B6 Shocks/Strut with FRPP P springs and GT500 strut mounts. I only want 1" or less of drop.
- GT500 Front Lower control arms (will be replaced as maintenance when that time comes)
- Steeda Rear Upper Control arm - Rod End
- Steeda Billet Rear Lower Control Arms w/ poly ends
Then eventually add Adjustable front and rear Steeda sway bars.
Like I said, just in planning stages (probably next spring) but I am doing a lot of reading and this seems like a solid set-up for my needs. The car is a semi-daily driver for now.
