As the thread states -I am wondering what pulley guys are using on their stock 3V blocks with Whipples.

Currently I'm using a 3.625" on an HO system, Gen 2, seeing about 8.5 psi on the dyno. I want to go to a 3.5". But want to be safe. I know a lot is based on the tune. My car has been dyno tuned and will return to the dyno if I install the a smaller pulley. (current ratings 387rwhp, 390rwtq mustang dyno)

Also if anyone has a 6 rib 3.5" whipple pulley for sale I'd be interested, I've been keeping my eyes on the classifieds with no luck so far.

I've ran a 3.5" since I've had the kit on. Saw just over 10psi when I got it tuned. Stock exhaust, stock long block.

8.5psi and it only makes 387whp out of a gen2 kit?

Is that normal?

I have the 3.375 and she's seeing 8-9 in the summer and 10-11 in the winter. Not sure weather mine is a gen I or II though..

I did request a conservative tune, I don't know my A/F or timing numbers. I have also been told Mustang dyno #'s will be lower vs. dynojet (10%ish). If thats accurate it would be closer to 425whp ish but I havent ever had it on a 2nd dyno to confirm.

Mustang Dyno's are lower (not sure what %) and alot of other things can skew your Dyno numbers. (Tire pressure, Temp, Humidity, Altitude, Dyno tech, etc)

When i was stock block with my GEN2 Whipple H.O running the 3.500 6 rib pulley i saw the full 10psi that the pulley is supposed to make. That was also with FRPP HotRod Cams and ARH Longtubes. My car put down 480rwhp and 460rwtq on a mustang dyno.. And the tune was super safe with afr's in the 11.5-11.7 range at WOT. You'll be fine with the 3.500 on the stock bottom end for a while, but just know, it will let go sometime..

Is all your exhaust stock? I must be seeing less boost based on the bassani x pipe and corsa exhaust and my altitude.

With coated JBA shorties/stock cats/Bassani X/SLP LMs or stock mufflers I saw a solid 11psi. Now with the same JBAs/ o/r ProChamber/stock mufflers I'm still seeing over 10.
