Doesn't look so bad on here either Brent. I'm glad you were able to keep your shaker, you seem a bit attached to it.

Since I assume it is no longer functional you should just say fuck it and mount your gauges in the back of it

Any idea how that happened?

BTW, I started hacking on mine with the dremel yesterday. I need to go buy some smaller rivets and the weather stripping, and then I can finish it up.

No idea. I finished up with the breather filters late last night and took the car for a test spin this morning. Popped the hood to make sure evrything was dry and noticed daylight. I'm guessing it happened sometime in the last 48 hours. When I washed the car on Saturday everything was fine. Buy my scoop and paint it Sonic Blue lol. :thud:

I wonder if flexing of the hood as it opens/shuts may have cracked it.

I figure it was that or when the hood flexed while on the prop-rod.

My choices now:
Put a piece of plexiglass over the hole
Get the TruFiber B429 hood painted and put that back on
Steal one of Ted's yellow hoods and paint it black
Mount the B429 scoop to my original hood
Push the car over a cliff and buy a used Civic
